Literature Text

"So, how many times?"
"Far to many to count."
"Will I see you again?"
"I leave tomorrow morning."
"That didn't answer my question."
"I know that."
Pause.
Pause.
"Don't come back."
"Why?"
"I hate you."
"'Bout time you said that."
"I love you."
"I know."
"But I hate you!"
"You can hardly do both at the same time"
"Just watch me."
"I lied, you know."
"Yes."
"About everything."
"I know."
"No, you don't."
"Then tell me."
"No. Not yet."
"Why?"
"Because."
"That isn't an answer."
"Because I'm not even sure what I lied about."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"Well, that's easy!"
"Really?"
Yes."
"Elaborate."
"You lied about everything."
"I already said that."
"Which means you were actually telling the truth."
"When?"
"When you tried to make me miserable."
"That was never my intention."
"But you knew what you were doing."
Silence.
Silence.
"I'm sorry."
"No you're not."
"So, is this it?"
"Pull the trigger."
Wow, this seemed so much cooler on paper.

Okay, so I really don't know what this is. I'm actually thinking it's kind of like story lineart or something. I leave it up to the readers to decide in their own heads the characters, the setting, mood, etc.
It's always person one, then person two (that's why there's two pauses and two silences- they're placeholders) and person one has the last word ;).

I know what it means to me... but, as you read it, feel free to picture it as you wish.

Somewhat inspired by A Fine Frenzie's song "Happier", at least, that's what I was listening to while I was writing it.
